Freddy’s started selling its seasoning to customers both in-restaurant and online, despite the fact that most eateries maintain their proprietary recipes a secret. Salt, dehydrated garlic and onion, spices, sugar, paprika, and turmeric are among the ingredients in the seasoning, which can be purchased on Amazon and comes in 8.5-ounce containers. Additionally, the ingredient list mentions “extractives of paprika” for color and “natural flavor,” which could refer to a variety of additions. Although there isn’t a clear indication of what “spices” were used to make the seasoning, if you felt like doing it, you could always pick up a few different ones at your neighborhood market to make your own version of the infamous topping.
It’s okay to treat your tastebuds to something they deserve sometimes, even though the regular-sized fries at Freddy’s USA have 440 calories according to the restaurant’s official website. And that is just what the Freddy’s Steakhouse Famous Steakburger and Fry Seasoning is.

This well-known Utah Fry Sauce is a tangy and sweet dipping sauce that goes great with fries, onion rings, and other foods. You won’t be able to eat French fries without it ever again after giving it a try!
If you like to dip your food, you’ll adore this fry sauce! It comes together quickly, is flavorful, and completely addictive. Do yourself a favor and prepare some soon if you haven’t tasted this sauce yet!
For the benefit of those who are curious, fry sauce is a dipping sauce that is popular for being served almost everywhere in Utah. Most of you have probably already cooked it without realizing it was fry sauce.
Ketchup and mayonnaise are simply combined to create the most basic version. We like to add a variety of spices and a few other ingredients to make it even more delectable to take things to the next level.
You can alter the ingredient proportions in this recipe to suit your preferred flavor profile. Simply put your chosen amounts in a bowl, and whisk everything together. To really allow the flavors to meld, it is preferable to now cover it and place it in the refrigerator for a few hours. But if you lack patience and want to get started right away, I don’t blame you!
You’ll see why it’s such a popular dish in Utah when you serve it with some crunchy French fries or on top of a delicious cheeseburger. You can’t stop once you start dipping, I promise!
- Use mayonnaise to make a creamy foundation.
- Ketchup: to give it a hint of tang.
- To add a hint of smokey taste, use Worcestershire sauce.
- Pickle brine adds additional tang.
- The spice paprika slightly sweetens the dish.
- For a little kick, use cayenne.
- Combine all the ingredients in a small bowl and stir until well-combined. Serving is all that’s left to do!
You can change the ingredients whatever you’d like because this condiment is incredibly adaptable.
- Heat: Feel free to add any spice you like if you prefer spicier sauces! If you’re feeling particularly daring, you might also include some red pepper flakes or your favorite hot sauce.
- Tanginess: Without the slight tang from the pickle brine, fry sauce wouldn’t be considered fry sauce. If you don’t like it, don’t worry. You can replace it with some vinegar or lemon juice and be set to go.
- For this sauce, genuine mayonnaise is the best option. Richer and thicker are the results. But miracle whip also works if you don’t like the taste of actual mayonnaise.
It should survive up to a week in the refrigerator if you store it in an airtight container. Just give it a little stir when you’re ready to serve it again!
Another thing to keep in mind is that most sauces get more tasty the longer they sit. Therefore, it will taste even better after a few days in the fridge!
pretty much anything! Here are some of my preferred choices:
- The obvious answer is French fries.
- One of my favorites is onion rings.
- It tastes amazing on corn dogs, for real.
- Any type of burger will do.
- Sandwiches: Some possibilities include BLTs and club sandwiches.
- Wraps: A simple turkey or chicken wrap is delicious when drizzled with a little fry sauce. Another excellent option is cheeseburger wraps!
- My children’s preferred foods to dip in fry sauce are chicken strips and nuggets.
Never be frightened to be imaginative! Spread some fry sauce over anything and everything! Even pizza has been dipped in it, but keep it a secret.

Picks from Ryan: I recently purchased my first Freddy’s Veggie Burger (without cheese or thousand island dressing) and a batch of their shoestring fries.
To start, the burger is approximately what I anticipated a black bean burger to taste like. It was great. The burger’s flavor was good, and I liked the lightly toasted bun. As is typical of black bean burgers, the burger tried to fall apart.
I enjoy shoestring fries, and I give Freddy’s fries an 8 out of 10.
The price of the veggie burger combo, which included fries and a sweet tea, was around $9.50, falling midway between a quick casual restaurant like Bareburger and regular fast food, which is often a dollar or two less expensive.
I appreciate that the vegetarian burger is an option, and while I probably won’t go looking for it, it’s a fine choice if I find myself at a Freddy’s with friends.
A Freddy’s concrete is what?
The options for ordering custard from Freddy’s are practically limitless because there are two varieties of creamy custard and 32 (yes, really 32!) toppings to pick from. Although our five classic delicacies are undoubtedly the favorites of our customers, we also offer the option to customize your dessert. Who knew that flouting the law could be so delicious?
Sundaes vs. Concretes
A sundae or a concrete can be constructed with any combination of custard and toppings. Everything depends on how you want it presented! Sundaes are served in a dish with custard in the bottom and a mountain of toppings on top. Concretes are served in cups and blended, blending your custard with your toppings. It really just depends on your preferences for toppings, as both versions are quite excellent!
Shakes & Malts
We also have cool, creamy milkshakes and malts if that’s what you’re after. We mix milk (or milk and malt) into our custard, give it a whirl in the blender, and presto! You have a malt or shake that can be drunk via a straw that is thick, creamy, and rich. Simply specify when you order that you would like yours thinner than we often make them, and we’ll make sure to blend it for a little longer.
Waffle & Cake Cones
We also provide custard in cones if that’s what you prefer! Cake cones are the classic sugar cones, whereas waffle cones are formed of thick, crispy waffle pieces and are larger. Depending on how high you want to stack it, both cones can contain one to three scoops of custard.
There are three sizes available for all of our custard: tiny, regular, and big. In the mini, two in the normal, and three in the giant, they come out to around one scoop each.
Because our generous Freddy’s scoops of custard are made to give you the greatest value for your money, we are frequently asked if there is a size smaller than the mini. Although a lesser size is not specified, you can order a little sundae and request that it be “divided.” This instructs the team member to divide the sundae into two miniature cups, making it ideal for sharing.
Pints & Quarts
You can’t get enough of the custard flavor you prefer. Bring a pint or quart home to enjoy later. Pints and quarts of vanilla, chocolate, and half-and-half are always available for customers to purchase in Freddy’s restaurants, but special orders can always be arranged at the register. Your preferred toppings can be incorporated so you can carry them with you.
Want to give your custard creation a little more sweetness? No issue! Although they come at an additional cost, additional toppings are well worth the money. Any custard dessert, even our hallmark masterpieces, can be customized with additional toppings.
What happens if you only want to replace anything on a specialty sundae or concrete and don’t want to add a topping? To accomplish that, too, we’re delighted! Simply request the topping of your choosing in place of one of the original ingredients.
Freddy’s Fry Sauce is devoid of dairy.

There are a few well-known brands of non-vegan fries, including McDonald’s and Buffalo Wild Wings, but vegan fries are unquestionably the norm.
